Mung bean sprouts are a culinary vegetable grown by sprouting mung beans. you can grow it easily in the home by placing and watering the sprouted beans in the shade until the roots grow long. Mung bean sprouts are extensively cultivated and consumed in East Asia, and it produce a unique profile of all nutritional elements, plus the antioxidants which known to reduce chronic diseases specially inflammation. The mung bean sprouts have had a slightly sweet taste, and it could be served in a salad with a tasty sauce.

Tips on how to cook Mung Bean Sprouts


sprouting seeds:

1- Use dried organic mung beans for sprouting. Check the beans and discard any broken ones.
2- Wash the mung beans carefully and then soak them in clean water for 12 hours until the beans are double in size and the sprouts start to appear.
3- Remove the soaking water and use new clean water to rinse the mug beans again.
In a Jar or a Sprouting Tray, Place the Mung beans and wait for the sprouting process.
4- Place the jars in a dark place to avoid photosynthesis by sunlight.
5- Rinse the jar or sprouting tray in clean water twice a day. And check the place to be dark and cool all the sprouting time.
6-The sprouting process is faster in summer than in winter. It takes around 4 days in summer, and around 7 days in winter.
